Article:   THE CONCEPTS OF DIRECT AND INDIRECT OBJECT IN ROMANIAN.

Authors:  ONUFRIE VINŢELER.

Abstract:  The Notion of the Direct and Indirect Object in Romanian. Taking into consideration both the semantic factors and the formal ones the author suggests that sentences with the prepositions pe (on) and la (at, to) belonging to the direct object have to be taken as belonging to the indirect object. Another problem examined by the author is the study of the secondary parts of sentence in a spectrum. The two poles of the spectrum are the direct object and the adverbial of place and time. Between these two poles, as far as a relation will have a more pronounced shade of object or adverbial, it will take the proper place. Between these two poles of the spectrum the proper place will be held by the object or the adverbial, depending on which of them will be more pronounced.
