  Article:   CROSS-CULTURAL ELEMENTS AND BILINGUALISM IN THE NARRATIVE REPERTOIRE OF A TRADITIONAL ROMANIAN STORYTELLER FROM HUNGARY.

  Abstract:  Colecţionarea sistematică a repertoriului narativ tradiţional, în rândul comunităţii româneşti din estul Ungariei, începe abia în vara anului 1958. Iniţiatorul este profesorul Domokos Sámuel, de la Catedra de Limba şi Literatura română a Universităţii Eötvös Loránd din Budapesta. Iată cum îşi prezintă debutul de culegător al basmelor româneşti: "Era în 1958, când odată, la un seminar de la universitate, am vorbit despre bogăţia folclorului românesc şi despre influenţa lui asupra literaturii. Unul dintre studenţii mei, Mihai Cosma - în prezent lector al Institutului pedagogic din Seghedin - a cerut cuvânt şi mi-a atras atenţia asupra unui ţăran din satul lui, pe nume Vasile Gurzău..."
