Abstract:  Nietzschean Nihilism in the Early Works of Emil M. Cioran. The nihilism is not onlya historical-phenomenon scecific to the occidental philosophy at the end of the 19th century but also a fundamental attitude, which is always present there, where the problem of the human essence and his existance is debated. In his early writing Emil M. Cioran presents the specific problems of this movement under the influence of Nieztsche, the loss of content of the notions "meany", "purpose" and "truth". Unlike the German philosopher who imperatively asked the reevaluation of all values for the purpose of the improvement of the world and of the appearance of the super-man, Cioran does not consider himself a changer of the world but only one who observes its carences, and criticizes them severely.
