ABSTRACT: Eternal Return and the Birth of Time: Eliade and Schelling. The reading focused on the comparison between the philosophies of time in the conceptions of Eliade and Schelling, taking into consideration Eliade''s Myth of the Eternal Return, as well as his novel the Forbidden Forest and Schelling''s lectures from the 1820s. Key words: time, real, homogeneity-heterogeneity, Kronos, Indra, Vishnou
