  Abstract:  The Humour Column – an Intercultural Approach. In this article, we will look into a peculiar journalistic genre, created by the French journalism, the humour column, which press in other countries has borrowed and developed. We will compare it to its Italian equivalent, il corsivo, in order to note the evolution of this genre in two distinct cultural areas. In addition, we will try to formulate in terms of cultural dimensions the particularities of both French and Italian press writing.
