  Abstract:  The present study aims at presenting two applications of informational theory in the field of typology market research, seen as investigation methods of the market structure: “the informational correlation coefficient“, built by the Romanian academician Octav Onicescu (relation 4) and “informational energy” (Wiener, R.). The first indicator led us to “typology informational correlation coefficient” (relation 6). The study also presents the necessary conditions to be satisfied and demonstrates their availability for the proposed indicator. Informational energy is used to characterize the homogenity intensity of obtained market segments. (relation 12)
