  Abstract:  Advertising, as an important element in the promotion policy, has proved to be a disputed issue. Some governmental agencies and many organizations in charge with the protection of the consumers have started to play an active role lately in watching and regulating advertising as advertising has positive effects on the public but, at the same time it triggers some negative effects which can be greatly dangerous.These aspects led us to questioning ourselves: “Is advertising a double-edged sword?”
