	Abstract: In this paper we study the isometry groups Iso_dF,p (Rⁿ), where d_F,p is the French rail ways metric given by (2.1). We derive some general properties of Iso_dF,p (Rⁿ) and we discuss the particular situation when X = Rⁿ and d = d₂ is the Euclidean metric.
