ABSTRACT. In this article we study the asymptotic behavior of the solution UÎ of a parametric variational inequality governed by a nonlinear differential operator posed in a notched beam (i.e. a thin cylinder with small part of it having a diameter much smaller than the rest) which depends on three positive parameters: Î, rÎ, and tÎ.Mathematics Subject Classification (2010): 35B40, 35B45.
