  Abstract:  The main concern of the book is the theory of semigroups of holomorphic mappings defined on a domain D in a complex Banach space X and with values in X. Beside their intrinsic mathematical interest, the study of these semigroups is also motivated by the applications to Markov stochastic processes and branching processes, to the geometry of complex Banach spaces, to control and optimization and to complex analysis.
