  Abstract:  Some considerations on fiducie’s definition in the Romanian civil code. The New Romanian Civil Code was the first piece of legislation that provided a definition of the fiducie. Although it was possible to encounter said concept before 2011, no definition was offered by the law, prior to the New Civil Code.This work is merely a starting point in the analysis of the device called “fiducie”. My study shall contain brief comments on fiducie’s legal definition. In a series of future articles, I intend to critically analyze fiducie’s legal definition, and the definitions highlighted by other authors. For now, I shall take only a modest step: I will engage in a survey of the Romanian fiducie’s definition; also, I will force myself to approach the fiducie in a systemic manner.
