  Abstract:  Zilele internaţionale ale Société d’histoire de droit s-a desfăşurat anul acesta în Franţa. Tema aleasă, deşi surprinzătoare la prima vedere: „Istoria istoriei dreptului”, a fost una binevenită. D-na prof. Anne Lefebvre-Teillard, preşedinta societăţii, a arătat în deschidere că reflexia asupra propriei discipline era necesară într-un moment în care tendinţa de unificare europeană reclamă participarea istoricilor dreptului, cu experienţa acestora în materie. Decanul facultăţii de drept locale, d-nul Bernard Beignier, argumenta de altfel – citându-l pe regretatul Bruno Oppetit – că de multe ori dreptul contemporan resuscitează inconştient instituţii antice. Locaţia congresului a fost inspirat aleasă la Toulouse, oraşul natal al romanistului Jacques Cujas şi în care este înmormântat Sf. Toma d’Aquino; ca amănunt: facultatea de drept a fost înfiinţată în 1229, fondatorii motivând că puterea este generată de cultură.
