Abstract:   A collaborative search model (DACE) relying on the interaction and coevolution of spatially distributed individuals is studied. Population is organizedin three agent societies (Local, Far and Global) engaged in asynchronous search process. Six variants of DACE characterized by the presence/absence of  fitness ordering, local recombination and agent-based search are considered. The moste efficient model is identified for a set of test problems.

Key words and phrases. evolutionary algorithms, asynchronous search, collaborative strategies, agent-based search.
