  Abstract:  Victor Jinga - Rector of the Commercial Studies High Academy of Cluj-Braşov (1942-1945). Victor Jinga, a professor and economist (1901-1990) was during the inter-war period one of the outstanding members of the Peasantry National Party. He carried out his didactic and scientific activity mostly within the Academy of High Commercial and Industrial Studies from Cluj. After the Dictate of Vienna and Transylvania’s cession to Hungary, the Academy took refuge in Brasov. Victor Jinga war appointed Rector here, during 1942-1945 and had specific attributions. In 1943, he founded the “The Institute of Economic and Social Researches” being preoccupied by the management of some student boarding and some lecture rooms, the equipment of a few labs and the library of the Academy and proved to be highly-qualified as an administrator, so much the more that he performed these qualities in the difficult circumstances when Romania participated at World War II.
