Authors:  VLAD A. CODREA.

Abstract:  The European workshop took place this summer in Sibiu, Transylvania. It was the first such vertebrate paleontologists’ meeting organized in Eastern Europe. In this manner, for the first time since these workshops are running on, a number of students from eastern countries were able to reach the scientific debates. The contributions were focused on various aspects of the vertebrate paleontology realm: systematic and paleoecology of dinosaurs and their related biota, stratigraphic details concerning the dinos-bearing formations, the knowledge of Mesozoic and Miocene aquatic reptiles, Miocene faunal assemblages from the intra-Carpathian realm, Late Pleistocene-Holocene small mammals from Central Europe, Cretaceous and Neogene small reptiles, Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic fishes.
