Abstract:  Coupling and Decoupling in the Geomorphological System. Case Study Someş Valley. The coupling processes represent a form of synergic action. These sets of processes can be simple or they may have different degrees of complexity. They belong to a divers set of holarchic levels, which characterizes the geomorphological systems. As a case study we considered the morphological space of the Somes River Valley, between Dej and Ticau, where several different situations were analyzed: coupling and decoupling at the level of the river bed; the coupling between slope and channel sectors; coupling between the torrential basin and the landslide unit; the coupling and connection between climate parameters and landslide processes. In the last case further chronological studies must be conducted in order to get a sound contextualization in time and space.
