  Article:   THE ASSESSMENT OF ANTHROPIC IMPACT IN MUREŞ-ARIEŞ GEOGRAPHICAL CONTIGUITY AREA.

  Abstract:  The Assessment of Anthropic Impact in Mureş-Arieş Geographical Contiguity Area. The continuous multiplication of the types and forms of anthropic impact, as well as the increase of their magnitude in present days, required the development of quantitative methodologies of assessment. Starting from simple assessments based on demographic density, complex matrix-type models have been developed, taking into consideration the human factors, grouped in categories according to the specificity of impacts. The benefit of these methods is the integration of a large number of different qualitative and quantitative indicators within a unitary scheme, resulting a single rate like the general rate of humanization. It is a compound unit, made up by pieces of information related to demographic density, economic activities, lines of communication and their potential impact upon the quality of the environment. The application of this scheme at the level of administrative units allows the provision of representative values for certain areas, by extrapolation. These values may become instruments in the decision making process in regional planning.
