  Abstract:  Suburbanisation of Industry and Services. Spatial Porcesses in the Suburban Zone of Târgu Mureş. The changes of the social system in Romania left their fingerprints on the settlement system, regarding both its structure and functions. The suburbanisation, a recent phenomenon in romanian context has three major fields of manifestation. Regarding to the general model, the industry and services move towards the suburbs lead by convinient factors such as bigger surfaces and lower landprices. This case study shows, that the economic players moving towards the suburbs present on one hand a real import of suburban acting, on the other hand they are lead by the general rules of suburban drifting. The study also shows, that the staffing preferences and the properties of the offer on the labour market are determined by forced migration of the population.
