Abstract:  The Chemical Composition of Rivers from the Târnava Basin. The hydro-chemical characteristics of river from Târnava basin it was distinguish on data processing and interpretation to result from 11 control section. The analysis period it was 1997-2002 and 1981-1989. The river mineralization it is an increasing from mountain (under 100 mg/l) to plateau (500-1000 mg/l) region. The chemical composition has different variation in the two significant stream depending on litological substratum characteristics from water collecting area. On the part of look into region prevail the calcic bicarbonates water. Tirnava Mica has make chloride water determined by the diapir rock from the Sub-Carpathian region. The diapir influence form S-V part of Transylvania has make by the chloride water which Visa river to carry in Târnava Mare. As a result in Blaj section, Târnava Mica to take part in mixed category, calcium group (1981-1989), respectively mixed bicarbonates (1997-2000). By comparison data analysis from tow period we can’t observe more changes. Among the chemical characteristics, has a negative influence over water quality can be mention relatively high hardness, and in some section from Sub-Carpathian and plateau region the mineralization value is high.
