Abstract:  The Timiş-Cerna Corridor - a Geo-Systemic Unit. The Timiş - Cerna Corridor, as a tectonic intra-mountain Carpathian depression, is well individualized by its physical and geographical features, supplemented by the humanization specific to this transit spot - on the one hand between two mountains that belong to two different Carpathian systems and, on the other hand, between two lowlands - the Danube and the Timişului Plain. Analysing the functionality of the physical and geographical components, the Timiş-Cerna Corridor may be considered a well individualized geo-systemic unit.
