Abstract:  The influence of the geographical factors on the development of the habitat in Şimişna Valley. This study is based on the profound problems linked to the habitat in a well separated context, from the point of view of the space and a field little researched on. This demarch analysis the interdependent actions of the geographical context: both the physical and the humano-geographical one,on development of the habitat. The influence of the geographical and physical factors, generally represented by the relief and the hydrographia is obvious in the morphology of the human settlements. The particularities of the relief determine the dominant type of structure-the dispersed one, with the appearance of some transition forms-either to gathering, or to dispersion. The human-geographical factors influence the development of the habitat by the agency of the communication potential, the territorial separation and the process of colectivization. The manifestation of these in the respective area. At the moment, the majority of settlements belong to the category of the little ones or even to that of the very little ones, having little posibility of demographical or economical improvement.
