  Article:   PRELIMINARY FORAYS IN THE EARLY HISTORY OF URBAN TOURISM.

  Abstract:  Preliminary Forays in the Early History of Urban Tourism. The space of genesis for urban tourism, as social-cultural, respectively economic phenomenon, was without doubt, the fortress or polis, formulas of habitat materialized in the world of old civilizations in the shape of cities-fortresses or of cities-state. In relation with the primordial functions, these imposed themselves as political, economical and religious centres, professions which drew near a sum of qualities sufficient for the appearance of a social behaviour of a new type, slightly elitist, slightly ripper, non-productive or semi-productive and reassuring on a spiritual or physical plane, named at a distance of several millenniums - tourism. In continuation of the reasoning, the trunk value of urban tourism is emphasized with precision for the whole genealogical complex of types, implicitly forms of tourism developed in time.
