Abstract:  Spatial Distribution of the Human Settlements from Haţeg and Amlaş Lands – Comparative Study. The spatial distribution of the human settlements presents a great importance in the analysis of a territory as it offers a complex view over the way in which the population has adapted to the natural and social conditions from that area, due to the placement of the settlements in such a way as to fulfill efficiently the functions for which they were created. This also offers a reflection of the state and functionality of the system of settlements in the two “lands”, the comparative study making evident the common points and the differences between the two groups of settlements.
