  Abstract:  Causes and Effects of the Catastrophic Floods on the 20th of June 2006, in Târlişua. The above-mentioned flood had the following main causes: big rainfall amount (100-120 l/m²) in an extremely short period of time (2 hours), bad exploitation of woods, and reduced section of the extant bridges. Its effects consisted of: 13 human victims, 23 completely destroyed households, 480 partially damaged ones, and the territorial infrastructure was destroyed (e.g. bridges, electric network, fountains), along with intense landslides, torrents, and areal erosion.
