Abstract:  Problems Regarding the Evolution of the Number of Inhabitants in Braşov City, After the Year 1990. Along the history the town of Braşov has been one of the most representative towns in the territories lived by Romanians, not only as quality of life but also as number of inhabitants and especially as well trained inhabitants. All this time the population of the town increased according to its economical demands, based on the number of new-born children as well as on the number of the "immigrants" which got the opportunity of a new life but also had to be needed by the city`s economical life. In those conditions the increasing of number of people followed a natural course adjusted by city`s demands and by its capacity of sustaining the inhabitants, until the sixth decade of the last century when the communist regime built here a giant industry. The needed workers were brought here from the rural shabby regions of the country and they contributed to the increase of the population for more than six times, and also of the surface of the city. After December 1989, in the transition period, forced by the economical reality, the town reoriented to the tertiary field and many of all those immigrants, especially the persons with a narrow training, had to go back to their native regions. The phenomena manifested along the last decade and it will continue until the city will reach equilibrium between its needing and the number and the quality of training of its inhabitants.
