  Article:   PROBLEMS OF THE FORESTRY ASSETS IN THE CENTRAL GROUP OF THE EASTERN CARPATHIANS.

  Abstract:  Problems of the forestry assets in the Central Group of the Eastern Carpathians. The Central Group of the Eastern Carpathians is characterized with a considerable extend of the forestry assets (1,010,815 ha), that mean a high percent of deforestation (56.1 %). From this forestry assets a percent of 98.7 % is in forestry usage, 0.55 % in agricultural usage, 0,43 % is without vegetation, 0,1 % are non-productive area and 0,3 % are area which have been taken off under forestry usage. The species composition of the forests in this area are as follow: spruce fir 50.4; beach tree 26.33 %; fir tree 13.19 %; different species of oak tree 3.05 % and others 6.49 %. The structure of the age structure of these forests is relative balanced, exception the VII. group of age structure, which proportion must be rise in the future.
