  Abstract:  Zarand Depression. Geodemographical Regionalisation. There are different indicators used in Zarand Depression to express qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the population. They show a certain spatial distribution delimiting four areas: Almaş-Gurahonţ Area, Beliu Area, Cigher Area, and Sebiş-Ineu Area. Among the considered geodemographic characteristics we mention: numeric evolution of population, natural and migrational increase, structure by sex and age, occupational structure, national and confessional structures, population`s distribution. Methodologically speaking, there have been considered principles as: the principle of results comparativeness, the principle of objectiveness, the principle of relative homogeneity, the genetic principle, the principle of community and complexity.
