Abstract:  Language Learning and Teaching in Europe. The new European globalization approach supplies a new rationale and thus calls for a new and revised regime of language learning and teaching. Although all languages develop according to local, regional and national constraints, they are all subject to an unprecedented international and transnational interaction. These prerequisites generate new teaching paradigms and strategies all of which are marked by multilingualism and complement-arity. The new teaching methodologies involve: instructivism, constructivism, inter-culturalism, comparativism etc. Consequently, the present study surveys and highlights the importance of these teaching strategies.
