  Abstract:  This article analyses the possibility and the opportunity to renounce to the judgement of the cultural facts. Taking an anti-relativistic stance, the author develops the arguments that back the conservative view on the critical assessment of cultural values as a classical tool for generating social progress and emancipation though by taking into account the traditional foundations of each society.
