Abstract:  If the general preoccupations concerning the communist era are, at least, for the most of them, trying to emphasise the diabolical aspects of this kind of regimes and become, more or less, some sort of crusades for democracy, we consider the task of politology and of contemporary history research to be different. It is for the political scientist to look deep into the realities, to consider the political system as a whole and to perceive and to clarify the main characteristics of it within the studied period of time.
