Abstract:  The question from which this article arises is in connection with the differences that exist in media use between the rural and the urban areas in Romania. We have directed our attention towards school children with ages between 7 and 13 and we have chosen to do a qualitative research in the Berindu village, Sânpaul, Sibiu. It is an isolated village, with no important European or national roads passing through it, situated at approximately 30 km from Cluj-Napoca. This being a qualitative research, the main objectives were to identify certain practices, but without any claim for generalization. It is an example that sheds light on certain trends that can probably be identified in other villages in Romania.
