Abstract: Manipulation Throughout Media in Redefing National Identity. Exerting preasure over people’s mind and behaviour has become nowadays more and more used in media communication. Manipulation is always based on selfishness and can be done over a person, a group, or over an entire country. The main purpose of the identity of a nation is the consolidation of people that belong to it, who are in a mutual dependence. The final point must be protecting rights and freedom. Each journalist tries to answer the questions related to nationality, but from his/her personal experience and point of view. Any tendance of discussing the national identity can be considered an anti-State action. We can identify in mass-media not only a wrong using of the key-terms from the national issue area, but also their wrong sense. Manipulating the social consciousness throughout media can guide to new standards of thinking and perceiving the reality. Any democratic system from the post-comunist countries is, more or less, dependent of mass-media, is the conclusion of Gozun. Keywords: media, manipulate, nation, politics, identity |
