THE MEDIATIC COMMUNICATION IN THE SOCIAL CONSTRUCTION OF REALITY. Authors: ANCUŢA-GABRIELA TARŢA. |

Abstract: Everyday life is what each of us has direct contact with. It is something we see, something we say, something we feel or touch, or something which happens to us. It is something we have direct contact with, and therefore something we rarely doubt. It is something we call ”reality”. But what happens with that part of reality which we have no direct access to? How can we differentiate between objective and subjective in media products? What is the influence of public communication on our perception of everyday life? This paper seeks to answer some of these questions in the hope of once again emphasizing the importance of the public communicators in shaping social reality. In oder words, a great part of what we call reality is a social construction of the mass-media. Keywords: public communication, media products, mass-media, social reality |
