Abstract: The study presents the pamphlet as a novel journalistic text, looking at some landmarks regarding the present tendencies of this journalistic writing: the aggressive pamphlet. At the language level, the case study based upon the pamphlet press emphasizes the basic features of the present day pamphlet: language violence, verbal aggression, animal symbol, caricatural portrait, marks of irony, black humour etc.The results of the case study focused on the3 satirical-pamphletary publications “Academia Catavencu” and “Romania Mare” are proofs that nowadays we can speak about a new type of journalistic text: the aggressive pamphlet, which makes use of the above mentioned techniques.
