  Abstract:  O mare parte din lecturile cotidiene se îndreaptă astăzi către presa scrisă. Inevitabil, literatura plăteşte acest tribut publicisticii, tot la fel precum ficţiumea plăteşte tribut realităţii. Cititorul caută, înaintea creaţiei artistice, informaţia care-l poate conecta cel mai rapid cu realitatea în care trăieşte. Presa devine astfel mediatorul dintre individ şi societate, având ca instrumente de lucru, pe de o parte, evenimentul, pe de altă parte, limbajul. Criteriul care ar trebui să coordoneze relaţia dintre textul scris şi realitate este, potrivit teoriilor jurnalistice, obiectivitatea.
