Abstract:  Objects and simulacra: hyperreality according to Jean Baudrillard. The object is the sign of the wish to possess it, consumption as social practice precedes production, while credit hardly covers the life span of the bought object; reality does not disappear in its own image but turns into hyperreality of the simulacra produced as consumer goods. The books of Jean Baudrillard show the ways in which reality turned itself into its own hell, objects in their own virtuality and history in the prehistory of man about to emerge.
