  Abstract:  Într-un celebru pasaj din Recherches philosophiques (*18), Wittgenstein compară limbajul nostru cu un oraş fondat în antichitate, şi a cărui dezvoltare poate fi atribuită atât generării spontane cât şi, într-o mai mică măsură, unei planificări conştiente: „un labirint de străduţe şi pieţe, de case vechi şi noi, de imobile cu aripi adăugate în diferite epoci; totul înconjurat de periferii noi, cu străzi drepte şi regulate, mărginite de construcţii uniforme.”
