  Article:   THE HISTORY OF ROMANIAN UNION PRESS FROM ARDEAL AND BANAT.

  Abstract:  The History of Romanian Union Press from Ardeal and Banat. The present paper intends to make the history of this important Press Associaţion, born in Cluj, 1921, as result of a congress. As predecessors the Union Press from 1909 lead by Octavian Goga and the Foundation for Helping the Journalist “Dr. Ion Mihu” established in 1912 are mentioned. The union press developped an important admninistrative and propaganda activity, having as result the foundation in 1931 of House of press and lead by important journalists and writers, such as: Ion agârbiceanu, Sebastian Bornemisa, Ion Clopotel, Teofil Bugnariu, Aurel buteanu, Ion Breazu and others. At the same, the Union succeded in editing two Almanacs including some interesting materials on the past of Romanian press and a special issue on the Union foundation.
