In this article, the authors wish to prezent the novelties brought about by the New Civil Code of Romania, regarding the civil liability of the teachers and trainers for the acts of the under-age sportsmen. The authors will point out the specificities of this institution by comparing it with the solutions practiced by foreign legislations in the same domain, on the one hand, and with the civil liability for a third person’s acts, on the other. For a better understanding, the precognition of the history of liability of the teachers and trainers from the Aquilia law till the New Civil Code of Romania, is indispensable.
