  Abstract:  Aspecte ale integrării sociale a sportivilor de performanţă. Educaţia fizică, parte integrantă a tuturor programelor şcolare este considerată ca o activitate socială cu o importanţă crescândă în viaţa omului contemporan şi îndeosebi in pregatirea tinerei generaţii pentru viaţă. Mulţi oameni de ştiinţă şi cercetători văd în educaţie fizică şi sport activităţi prin care fiinţa umană poate fi in]ată atât pe plan biologic, cât şi pe plan psihologic, mai bine decât celelalte discipline si activităţi şcolare. Sportul s-a pus de-a lungul dezvoltarii socităţii, dar mai ales în socitatea contemporană (după al doilea Război Mondial), ca un factor de socializare complex şi puternic integrator prin instrucție, educație şi cultura, contibuind la dezvoltarea armonioasă a tineretului.
