Abstract:  Carei does not have a theatre, still I saw there many theatre performances: Ionesco, Shakespeare, LaBute. At the end of November, for three years, students-actors from all over the country and abroad showed that you can make theatre no matter the conditions. It’s not necessary to have a capital city, you don’t need tradition, and you don’t even need a theatre hall. You only need enthusiasm, a public and a chance. Something that years ago seemed to be an illusion that would never come true now has its own certain direction. SPOT festival became a very serious lesson on absurd as a mean of living. In 2009 the festival was celebrating the third edition with an impressing number of participants and guests. The most important university centers in Romania as well as the Athanor Academy in Burghausen met in Carei, where they confronted their experiences. The man that conceived the festival is Paul Sarvadi, who graduated theatre studies in Cluj and who brought David Esrig in Carei. Let’s talk to Paul.
