Abstract: The Digital Technology and the Theatre Performance. The Virtual Reality on the Stage is a study that is a part of a larger analysis, focusing on the effects the digital technologies have on the society in general and on the theatre communication in particular. In the fragment presented above, the study discuses the phenomenon of the avatars and and how this phenomenon brings the fiction closer to our day to day life, and it also emphasizes one of the consequent reactions of the theatre artists, respectively their usage of virtual reality technologies on the theatre stage.
