  Abstract:  

Horaţiu Damian has two BA degrees, in journalism and law, and a master in American Sudies finishing his PhD thesis in Media Law. He is editor at ManInFest, where he is publishing a series of television critical reviews and studies, and is assistant professor the Journalism Department of the Babeş-Bolyai University. His complex education and interests in research are proved by the article below, focused on the analysis of the dilemmatic relationship between the offer made by Romanian TV Channels and the audiences’ demands. The issue here is the vicious circle of the consuming products who have as continuous and final effect the leveling down of cultural, political and participative expectations.
