The good yielding synthesis of some new mono and bis(5,5-dibromomethyl-1,3-dioxan-2-yl) derivatives and their NMR structural investigations are reported. Substitution of bromine in bromomethyl groups with thioacetate units in some of these compounds was also investigated.
