  Abstract:

A homemade biobattery was studied from electrical point of view. The open circuit voltage for a 0.2 mA short circuit current was of 0.6 V. The maximum power for an internal resistance of 1.1 kΩ and a concentration of 109 cells/cm3 of Staphylococcus aureus was of 17.57 μW.

Keywords: biobattery, electrical power, bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus.
