Abstract:   In the Ukrainian part of the Eastern Carpathians, carbonate bedrocks with specific flora and vegetation are restricted only to few regions (Malinovsky, 1991). The Chyvchyny Mountains is a region with carbonate deposits and outcrops, so their vegetation cover differs in details from the other parts of Ukrainian Carpathians.
