CHEMICAL HEPATECTOMY AND THE “HEPATIC FRACTURE LINES”. Authors: MIRCEA ANTONIU RUSU. |
||||||
Abstract: We studied the action of some xenobiotics, that exist in the environment (dimethylnitrosamine, CCl4, ethyl alcohol and acetaminophen), on rat liver. Using histological and histochemical-histoenzymological methods, we ascertained the severe structural alterations produced in liver, a real chemical hepatectomy being evidenced. We established and substantiated the characteristics of chemical hepatectomy, in comparison with the surgical (classic) hepatectomy, and also the presence of some “fracture zones” with minimum tissue resistance. | |||||||
