Abstract: Diversity of Interest Groups in the United States of America. The paper deals with the typology of interest groups in a country where their proliferation and diversification are very conspicuous phenomena. After reviewing various typologies and a general description of the interest groups universe, the author focuses on the occupationally based associations. Following especially the classification made by Jack L. Walker Jr., some groups from the profit sector, mixed sector, and nonprofit sector are depicted. | |||||||
