Rezumat:   Uzdiszentpéter is a village situated in the East-North part of the former Kolozs districtin Transylvania. The building of the reformatted church dates from the Medieval Ages, but the first information of the congregation is from the first part of the 17th century. Documents and objects – as textiles – are the proof of the 18th century’sactivity. In the year of 2005, we found seven textiles dating from this period. All of them are mentioned in the documents from that period also with others that were lost during the centuries. One of the two tablecloths is particular in technique and structure, and its inscription makes clear the donator and the date when she gave it to the church of Uzdiszentpéter: gróf széki Teleki Sándorné petki Nagy Zsuzsanna 1744. The other one – together with three kerchiefs – made by báró Wesselény Kata has floral ornaments and an inscription which makes sure that they date from 1772. From the documents, we know that they were donated by her niece gróf széki Teleki Sámuelné iktári Bethlen Zsuzsanna. There are two other textiles presented in this study that date from the first part of the 18th century. In all cases, we found similar materials, as linen and cotton, or silk and metallic threads for decoration. Their floral motifs are typical for the area and period in which they were embroidered.

Keywords: church history, donations, embroidering, plant motives.
