  Rezumat:  Inter-religious Dialogue, an Opportunity for the Future. The present historical context makes the inter-religious dialogue a dire necessity. While a century ago East and West did not meet and they were relatively homogenous areas, from a religious viewpoint, the present state of facts is radically different. This study analyses the inter-religious dialogue, underlining its overwhelming importance in the given context. The Christian participation to this dialogue is a divine command that must be fulfilled, consequently being a duty of both the person and the community.
